Pier Luigi Dovesi is an Expert Lead and Senior Member of the Technical Staff at Silo AI (AMD), focusing on multimodal and generative AI. His extensive work in perception and safety for autonomous vehicles and robots originated the idea that AIs – just like humans – should continuously adapt. This insight resulted in the development of novel methods enabling AI to learn and improve independently and continuously, even when confronted with unfamiliar and complex environments. Currently, Pier is directing projects including code generation, hyperrealistic portrait generation, adaptive interactive agents, and 3D scene reconstruction. His regular contributions to AI research include publications in 3DV, ICRA, ECCV, and ICCV, collaborating with top-tier institutions including KTH Royal Institute of Technology, the University of Bologna, ETH Zurich, and TU Munich. As an engaged member of the AI community, Pier contributes to knowledge sharing and promotes diversity through public speaking, organizing educational events, and mentoring for Women in AI.
